Maria Tinoco do Couto is the founder of MãeGuru, a holistic wellbeing platform created from a deep belief in the power of self-awareness, conscious living and connection. For more than a decade, Maria has been creating experiences that bring together yoga, meditation, breathwork, conscious nourishment, self-care and personal growth, inspiring thousands of people to reconnect with themselves and live more mindfully. As a mother, she feels especially passionate about giving younger generations the tools she believes we all deserve to learn from an early age: how to understand and express our emotions, build healthy relationships, listen to our bodies, nourish ourselves and find inner balance. The Wellness Academy is an extension of this vision: a space where children and teens can grow not only stronger and healthier, but more connected, conscious and confident in who they are. Helping them understand themselves, connect with others and care for their whole being. The Savvy Scientist is all about thinking like a scientist, getting hands-on with investigations, while building the literacy and oracy skills to present their findings. Here’s what your young savvy scientist will be diving into: 🔍 Ask scientific questions and formulate a hypothesis. 🧪 Plan and carry out real investigations following the scientific method. 📖 Write well-structured materials to display on their science board. 📊 Bring data to life using tables, graphs, and observations. 🧠 Think critically and reflect by drawing conclusions based on evidence. 🎤 Present like an expert by sharing results with peers and presenting to parents, your child will build confidence in speaking to an audience. The sessions will end with a science fair, displaying your child’s work. There will be an additional materials fee of 25 euro, to be paid in cash.

We will help the students evolve their Portuguese learning based on real-life interactions and necessities. This includes both theoretical and practical classes where the students put their Portuguese knowledge at use by going to real places (like cafés and train stations) and ask the workers for whatever they might need/want. €3 per class.
